Rockin for KPM Benefit this Saturday Night!
Come to Debs Lakeview this Saturday for a great cause! We go on at 11:30 p.m.
Rockin' For KPM was an idea that Tom Reid, who is the cousin of Ray Wilkins, came up with. Ray is the dad of Kyle, Patrick, and Matthew .. who are triplets that were diagnosed with Becker's Muscular Dystrophy. Sadly, Matthew passed away in November 2006 from this devastating disease. In March 2007 Tom told Ray he wanted to do something for the children, and being a member of the wonderful online music community of LowellRocks.com, he posted a message stating just that. He decided to hold the first ever Rockin' For KPM and knew just what he wanted. It was to be an all day event filled with as many bands as he could cram into one day along with enough food to feed them all. He had no problem whatsoever with finding enough bands as so many volunteered within the first couple of days of his message.
And so it began - Rockin' For KPM was born!
The event was a huge success! Debs Lakeview Lounge in Dracut, MA was filled with the most amazing local musicians, there was a ton of food, and lots of great raffles. But the best part of the day was when Kyle and Patrick showed up.
Rockin' For KPM is a quality of life benefit. The boys have the materialistic things they need and what Rockin' does is try to help provide them with the other things they need ... like maybe going to a Red Sox game or taking day trips with their parents & loved ones. Won't you help put as many smiles on Kyle's and Patrick's faces as possible and join all of us at the next Rockin' For KPM?Click here for more details http://www.rockinforkpm.bravehost.com/
